ARCADE FIRE @ Olympic Island - Sat Aug 14 2010

Welcome back to another Toronto Island Concert

Here is a list of answers to FAQ's (frequently asked questions) and some general guidelines for this year's event

  THE FERRY
The Ferry Terminal is located at the most Southern tip of Bay St where it intersects with Queens Quay. Your concert ticket gives you FREE transport via the Centre Island Ferry
Your tickets allow you to join a dedicated private line (separate from the general public) in an attempt to prioritize (fast track) all ticket holders to the concert site
The ride is about 12-15 minutes
In order to cut down on waiting times we really recommend you come out early, (say 1:00p) walk around the Island etc or please allow yourself a good 45 min from the time you enter the Ferry Terminal to get on the concert site
Children 2 and under are admitted FREE on both the ferry and into the concert

Lemonade, Pop, Coffee, will also be available, at not all, but most of the vendors.
At peak hours the lines for food can seem long so we advise you to come out early, eat early, and avoid unnecessary wait times.

  WATER
You are allowed to bring ONE SEALED BOTTLE OF WATER, and you can refill the bottle at any city of Toronto water fountain on site. We will also allow re-usable water bottles (metal/plastic), these are the only other receptacles that will be permitted. Water will also be sold in the food area, in the beer gardens and behind the SOUND BOOTH in a tent.

  BEER - ALCOHOL
There will be 2 HUGE BEER GARDENS with great sightlines to the stage, staffed by employees of the Horseshoe Tavern. To enter you must be 19+ and have GOVERNMENT ISSUED PHOTO ID. No more than 50% of the audience can be inside the Gardens at once, (this is not a beer festival, it's a music concert) so those who are on site earlier will be able to walk in without having to wait. Once at capacity, expect long line ups.
Labatt's 50 Draft, Wellington Ale Draft, Smirnoff Ice, and bottled water will be available in the gardens.
You have to buy all drink tickets inside the beer garden in a dedicated line.
You will not be permitted to buy more than 6 drink ticket(s) at one time.

Seated Picnic Tables will be available in the Beer Garden
Washrooms will be available in the Beer Garden
You can leave the Beer Garden to get food, and take Bottled Water with you, but you cannot leave the area with any alcohol whatsoever.
The Beer Garden will have an area (in the rear) for those whom bring blankets please do not block any exits or entrances.
Children are NOT allowed in the Public Beer Gardens
